WOOT!

As of today I have lost a grand total of 31.4 lbs and I'm only 28.7 lbs away from my next big milestone!

To make things even better; for the first time EVER I actually weigh LESS than Caleb! ...and, my sister Dee and I are able to share clothes!! (almost makes me want to move to Oshawa for the extended wardrobe.... almost)

But the BEST part is I haven't had to eat like a rabbit and I'm not dieting. I just had to change my way of thinking about food and cut out all my excess carbs.

Of course I still need to try and get some extra work outs in if I ever want my tummy and arms to be toned instead of flabby. That's something to work towards anyway.

A Successful trip to Wonderland

On Tuesday Trinity's school was having their end of year trip. It's supposed to be an extra special trip to somewhere fan-freakin-tastic so this year they decided to go to.... Marineland... again... yawn! So we decide to take her to Canada's Wonderland instead!
We got there an hour early and snagged a fantastic parking spot and because we weren't in peak season yet and it was raining we never had to wait in line! It wa great!
Trin and Caleb rode the Behemoth! Trin absolutely loved it.
Some of the highlights from our trip include:

1- No Sunscreen! Since it was cloudy and rainy I didn't have to slather on the sunscreen which is awesome.
2- It was cool out so we weren't tempted to buy any drinks while we were in the park. We just took a couple of breaks to walk back to the car for water and food.
3- No lines, as mentioned above, which means we got to ride A LOT of rides.
4- Very few annoying kids and the one group of twits that we kept running into faced karmic retribution when they were stuck on the stand up roller coaster for 15 minutes. Ha I say... Ha!
5- Trin and her friend Brittany we're great! No whining, no fighting, no putting each other down. They got along and had fun and did not cause me even an ounce of embarrassment!
6- We came in WAY under budget! and that's even with having to buy rain ponchos and spending $30.00 in the arcade to pass the time during the heavy rain.

All in all this was probably the best trip to Wonderland I have ever had!

Monday

Well Today was a good day although I didn't go to bed early enough yesterday so I just couldn't force myself to get up at 4:45 am to do my work out. Oh well, there's always tomorrow!

On a brighter note we picked up our Canada's Wonderland tickets today so we're definitely going! Woot! I'm pretty excited. Trinity wants to go on the Behemoth first... I want to go on the Bat first. I think I'll win :)

The End and a New Beginning

Well it's been a while since I updated everyone (all three of you) on my progress : )
First of all, the biggest loser challenge at work has come to an end. I didn't win but I did manage to lose exactly 20 lbs over the 10 weeks which put me in 4th place! (out of 30 people!). That's pretty exciting. So a few of us at work decided to do it again.

I'm sticking with a healthy weight loss goal of 20 lbs in 10 weeks although I'm going to work towards 35 lbs. I'm really going to have to work hard and push myself. Although I don't have any problems keeping up my new love for long walks I have once again floundered at keeping up my morning workout ritual. I NEED to start going to bed a little earlier so I won't miss that extra hour of sleep in the morning.

The real hurdle for me getting up early is seeing Caleb still sleeping. Two things in me war against my thoughts of getting up. First, the desire to just cuddle up in his arms and sleep until his alarm goes of and the second is jealousy... why should he get to sleep if I have to get up? Yup, I'm pretty messed up but the first step in conquering these issues is to admit them, right?

So I'm declaring here right now that Monday is going to be different! Monday morning I will get up and do my work out diligently. I will not convince myself that I should just cuddle with Caleb and I will not be jealous that he gets to have an extra hour of sleep. It'll be hard but I will succeed...... maybe I can convince him to get up with me : )

Hair Makeover - Before and After

For months now I have been wanting... no... needing to get my hair done. The situation was becoming desperate and since my hairstylist, who I can't afford to go to anyway, is in Lebanon for a month I decided to ask my friend Gail to take a stab at it.

I wanted something short. Not just short... short short! Of course I just couldn't make up my mind as to what exactly I wanted so I asked Gail to work her magic. And WOW!!! I am so happy I went to her!

When I first looked in the mirror once she was done I wasn't sure whether I liked it or not. It was so different from my usual (crappy) hair. Now that I've had a chance to look at it for a bit I can honestly say that I am very happy with it. It's way out of my comfort zone and is much lighter and MUCH shorter than I have ever had it before.

What do you think?
